What reelection? It’s already his second term. Hence why he’s so eager to push all those laws, imo. He’s just going to retire after this.

Funny how in the death throes of their political careers they always start throwing out random baseless conspiracy theories to explain why nothing is their fault

No no no… it’s video games’ fault that people are mad about the government shooting a kid. Without video games, we would calmly accept it.

This is a misleading headline and not what he said. Let’s not become Facebook

This is a direct quote :

« Nous avons vu sur plusieurs d’entre elles, Snapchat, TikTok, et plusieurs autres à la fois, l’organisation de rassemblements violents se faire, mais une forme de mimétisme de la violence, ce qui, chez les plus jeunes, conduit à une forme de sortie du réel. Et on a le sentiment parfois que certains d’entre eux vivent dans la rue les jeux vidéo qui les ont intoxiqués. »

For those who do not speak French, Macron is saying here that social media is helping people organise the riots and also triggers some form of dissociative behaviour, that he blames on “poisonous” video games.

Not a word on the fact that a litteral teenager was murdered for allegedly forcing a traffic stop.

I’m surprised that I need to do this but ok. Read the rest of Macron’s quote in the image OP posted. He does not blame video games for the riots. From the articles translation, his quote was

It sometimes feels like some of them are re-living in the streets the video games that have intoxicated them.

That comment does not blame video games for the riots like the title of this post and the title of the article say. This is a clickbait article and the post didn’t even have a link. Why aren’t people reading before they up vote?

I read that they were rioting because that young man was shot dead, but not a thing about riots because of how good Diablo 4 is.
