When I try to create a community, the create button turns into a spinning icon after I click it and it just sticks like that, forever. I tried like…15m ago and that attempt is still spinning. I’ve tried multiple times, its not just one bugged attempt.

I had this happen on mobile when I tried to use emojis in the title, so I was thinking perhaps it’s an unhandled error for invalid characters in the title? When I tried again without the emojis, it posted right away.

Hmm, not sure then. Also, so sorry about the repeat comments! Kept telling me the comments didn’t go through 😵‍💫

Figured it out, the community was made and I can get to it by manually typing the URL, but that page also says it was deleted by the creator and doesn’t show in community search. So I think it’s in recycling bin limbo and failing to generate an error.

I would hope the recycling bin is emptied eventually so the communities can be recreated, but according to this it doesn’t look like it, which is dumb because that means anyone can create and delete a community just to prevent the name from ever being used.

Happy to hear it! There have been some mutterings of this instance struggling the last few hours - that must be tied in. Would certainly explain my comment shenanigans too
