I am so excited for Spy x Family. Didn’t know that season 2 will be out so soon. Thanks for posting this up!

This and Frieren are the two I am most anticipating. Eminence looks to be keeping a nice pace this season, adapting only 1.5 LN volumes over 12 episodes. Should set things up for a dramatic finale once again.

As far as I know, there is no season 2 yet confirmed. I absolutely loved the series and would hate to see it never come back, but my understanding is that it didn’t do nearly as well in Japan as it did the rest of the world. That usually isn’t a great sign for a show’s survival.

Really? I didn’t know that. If they cancel the series after that then I’ll stop watching shit altogether. Seems like every cool project gets cancelled these days.

Goblin Slayer and Soy x Family are the only ones that seem exciting to me. Maybe apothacary diaries.

Waiting for SxF, Dr.Stone, Eminence in Shadow, … comeback. Heard a lot of great things about Frieren and Apothecary Diaries, definitely watching those. New Boss anime sounds funny to me.

And Pluto is not included in this list (maybe because it is listed as ONA?). It is coming on Oct 26.

Calling it now - Frieren is going to be anime of the year.

The manga is fantastic. Really looking forward to it.

Frieren is going to be a cult classic alongside Mushishi, Kino no Tabi, Haibane Renme, YKK and a few other similar melancholic works. I just don’t see how they are planning to get mass audience.

Kino no tabi! Also one of my favorites.

I agree though. It isn’t going to be on the level of popularity as something like chainsaw man. It’s more of a quiet, contemplative story with a few exciting action scenes.

Faraway Paladin 2nd Season? I’m hyped. Not much else that I’m overly looking forward to in terms of sequels, though (I’ve sworn off AoT for now until it’s genuinely over).

Which new shows do you folks foresee making the top ranks this season? Most of these titles are totally new to me, though I’ve heard that the 100 Girlfriends manga is kind of notorious. Maybe that’ll be this season’s so-bad-it’s-good show?

100GF is an actually great manga. Fully self aware of how absurd it is and plays it up really well to hilarious effect. What I am not sure about is how well it can be adapted to anime. I frankly think the humor won’t come across as well, but am definitely going to be checking it out.

Frieren has all the markings of a great show based on the staff and the source material is truly excellent, so that is one to watch.

The last one I am going to keep an eye on is Tearmoon Empire. I haven’t read it, but the LN series is very beloved.

They are similar in that they are very silly, comedy first romcoms. The main difference I think is that there is very little to no drama around the fact that the MC is dating multiple people. Everybody just accepts that fact and moves on. It becomes a running joke in the manga when the MC introduces a new girlfriend. 100GF mainly uses the cast of girlfriends to drive the comedy rather than actual relationship stuff.

Aside from Frieren, which was already mentioned, the Apothecary Diaries has a shot at it if it’s well done. As far as I know, both the light novels and the manga are fairly popular.

Didn’t know million live anime was happening this fall. I’m not expecting much but I’m hyped for the music.
