The last update seems to have reset both scores to 0

I reinstalled it to update the icon (as suggested) and it reset. Figured this was from the instance, not the app 😢
Turning on “hide read posts” also hides your own from you. The score is based on what you can see (at least for now). Scores aren’t really a thing in Lemmy like they were on Reddit. Not the same bearing on the algorithm.
Interesting. I like it as a rough gauge of activity. I liked seeing it with activity being important to help Lemmy grow. I’ve been trying to be more active than I was on Reddit and the scores were something of a motivator for me
How are they used in reddit? I had a decent karma, but I never thought it meant anything other than fake fame
