Today i had a call with my mom where i was explaining how difficult the things are in canda regarding jobs, houses, cost of living etc and casually mentioned the fact that i intend on coming back home as soon as i finish studying here.

To this she said no one she knows has ever come back to india in her social circle and i would be the only one. And it would be an embarrassment for her to deal this fact. Hearing this made me feel useless. Because here i am living life one day at a time after leaving a decent job back home. The guilt of spending my parents money eating me away.

Idk man. Im confused. For the first time in my life i have no direction or purpose. And it’s scaring me to death.

Edit -

Thanks for all the wonderful and supportive responses you all have given me. Honestly couldn’t ask for more. I have made up my mind. I will go back home after i finish my studies and complete my work visa here. I love our country more so it shouldn’t be a matter of discussion. Idc what my mom thinks
