Honestly can’t wait to see what controversies get spurred up this time around. At least we’re past most of the whack shit for a while.

Also, have we gotten any news on the episode count? Heard that they’d be trying a 35 episode format, but I’m not sure if it was confirmed.

I’m excited. If they adapt another 6 novels like Season 1, then Season 2 is going to be a ride.

I am thinking about watching this, what would be your quick sales pitch of this show to somebody who has never watched it?

A fatass 34 year old virgin dies and gets reincarnated as a little kid with magic powers who grows up to be a chad. You ever fantasized about being a little kid with the knowledge of an adult? You ever fantasized about being a wizard?

Fun fact, the term for a person with magic powers in japanese also refers to a virgin over 30, so this show is kindof a pun (a ‘wizard’ becomes a wizard).

What dog_eater said. It’s basically a wish fulfillment fantasy for people who sympathize with middle aged fat failures who were done dirty by life, but failed no matter how hard they tried. I would say the empathetic types that like rags to riches stories.

That said, while I haven’t watched the Anime, I kept up with the manga for a while and it devolves into your typical magical isekai harem tropes, with some (real) drama mixed in sometimes. Then it devolves into a “let’s go to magic high school” series of tropes, at which point I dropped it.

More innovative in some ways than similar stories, but not to the point where I’d say it’s a must watch.
