If you happen to come across right-wing media, propaganda and discourse, you’ll notice here and then a mention of George Soros as an evil mastermind behind geopolitical events, “globalist agenda” and such.
Why do you think there’s a focus on George Soros? We are aware of Soros’ interference in global affairs through his funding of color revolutions worldwide, but why would the extreme right-wing have an aversion to Soros?
This discourse regarding Soros can be found in the Brazilian extreme-right as well.
George Soros became a target of neo nazi propaganda after becoming a major supporter of the Obama campaign in 2008… umm yeah that’s about it.
Then like 5 years later some of it popped up in left wing circles, mostly for the Open Society foundation’s work in countries, like Russia and China. Since then they’ve been banned in Russia, Pakistan, and Turkey. They closed down operations in Hungary, and interestingly enough stopped working with Israel because Israel was upset they were working with Palestinians. The NGO is actually very large, but still smaller than the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation with a budget of about $300 million a year. For comparison the US military budget for 2021 was $778 billion, $25 billion more then they even asked for. So even if George Soros has actually been a CIA spy this whole time, his entire organization would be a rounding error for the US military

The reason why fascists hate him is because he is a rich Jew who puts his money to spread liberalism and support liberal causes.
There’s more focus on Soros specifically compared to other billionaires because he’s Jewish and he’s more out in the open with his political action than many others. The reason fascists rile against the “globalist agenda” is because their mythology says this agenda is Jewish and therefore evil. It also gives the working people a foothold into this ideology of the wealthy by telling them that this one billionaire is the source of their problems, while allowing billionaires and capital in general be.
