The imperial core’s left has a massive social chauvinism problem, and where there is chauvinism there is a rife breeding ground for right wing thought. It is also extremely infiltrated by cointelpro agents and by liberals calling themselves social democrats.

Reddit is a cia mouthpiece when active. With the Ukraine war, every single sentiment suddenly turned pro-Ukraine and anti-Russian.

You are not alone. I used to frequent the subreddit as well, and everything about China for example was removed or heavily censored against. It is most definitely a more demsoc or socdem community now, with some very reactionary views when it comes to AES and international solidarity.

I noticed more backlash and bolder stances from a handful of other regular ML’s, but it seems like it won’t matter much as we are a minority among the usual western ultra’s and socdems.

I feel you, comrade. I visit that subreddit from time to time, and I’ve noticed how it’s filled with social democrats. They’re not exactly hiding it either, which you can tell by the flair they use. (And from their lib opinions, of course). There are a few MLs on there, but their voices pretty much get drowned out by the horde of succdems who laugh at you when you tell them that Frans Timmermans is not a leftist.

The right-wing flair thing is indeed fucking stupid. That flair seems to be used by nazbols/right-deviationist types. The fact that those are welcome, disgusts me. They tend to blend in because economically they don’t differ much from the regular social democrats who post there, with both promoting socdem parties. (Hm, something about the moderate wing of fascism ). I can’t say I’m surprised though, because for some time the sub used to have a link to stupidpol in their sidebanner, which they later got rid of.

Every big tent not controlled by ML will sooner or later devolve into succdem centrism, then purge communists.
