The recent LocalMonero cash-by-mail fiasco got me thinking about this.
If there isn’t one… maybe the community should start one to help users with legal matters directly related with Monero.
Just an impromptu thought. Other ideas, suggestions, and criticisms welcome.
I would also like a comprehensive list of prior enforcement actions.
FinCEN has this, https://www.fincen.gov/news-room/enforcement-actions
If that’s really all they’ve done, it’s been quite rare.

In Eric Powers’ case (2019), they seized all his data, fined him $35k, and forced him to sign an agreement that he wouldn’t act as an MSB again. Sounds like they thought a jury would be sympathetic, and so they couldn’t go for much in a plea bargain. They list only two other MSB enforcement actions since then.
In the second link, it says he moved $5M. At 4% transaction fee, that’s $200k profit.
The fine it’s a slap on the wrist.
Keep in mind that the feds will bust a teenager with a bit of weed and claim it’s a 10.000$ bust 😂
They need an excuse to promote someone for catching that hardened criminal
So crypto is not property anymore, it is now money, got it.
