[SOLVED] - Lemmy doesn’t notify you if the username is taken and just hangs indefinitely if it is taken. Just an fyi to anybody else who’s having issues signing up for a Lemmy instance.

Title says it all. I’ve tried multiple browsers, restarting, flushing dns and everything else I can think to troubleshoot this on my end. Whenever I try to sign up it just hangs infinitely on the page that I took a screenshot of, with the submit button spinning.

How can I join this side of lemmy? Lemmy.world is pretty good but I would like to be in an instance that is defederated from lemmygrad please lol

    I’ve been having the same issue. It goes on loading state forever and no feedback. Tried multiple usernames and none of them have been taken, so that isn’t the problem.
