[SOLVED] - Lemmy doesn’t notify you if the username is taken and just hangs indefinitely if it is taken. Just an fyi to anybody else who’s having issues signing up for a Lemmy instance.

Title says it all. I’ve tried multiple browsers, restarting, flushing dns and everything else I can think to troubleshoot this on my end. Whenever I try to sign up it just hangs infinitely on the page that I took a screenshot of, with the submit button spinning.

How can I join this side of lemmy? Lemmy.world is pretty good but I would like to be in an instance that is defederated from lemmygrad please lol

    Lemmy creates the account before being approved - it is quite silly. If you can give me the username, I can give it a look, we’re currently going through all the backlog for people we missed.
