I have only had a couple harsh wrecks on my bike in all my almost 40+ years of riding and commuting. I had a 7.5 mile one way commute in Seattle and did it 2-3 times a week with most weeks 4-5 times. It rains a lot in Seattle so I was always in the wet but if you take precautions, its not so bad.
So this one time it was cold and wet and I was at the end of the ride, pulling into the parking garage where the bike locker is. I have to go down a ramp and then turn left at the first underground floor.
The ground is wet and when I took the left my wheels just decided to point the right direction but keep going in the way they were, and me in click in peddles.
The only time in my adult life I have flopped and it hurt and left a lot of road rash… and the parking lot attendant had to come and ask me if I was alright.
So tissek, I feel you man. Hope it didn’t leave too much of a mark :)
