Marmite is incredibly polarizing. As the popular series of ads say, you either love it or hate it. It’s incredibly bitter and sour. I love it, personally, but my gf is absolutely revolted :)
ive heard it’s excellent in vegan cooking though! i absolutely hate apple cider vinegar on its own and can’t stand the smell but i can’t deny that it does some magic in cooking. i wonder if marmite is the same way?
I’ve tried various pastries and stews (especially before I went vegetarian) that use marmite. It’s got a very specific flavor, and a lot of people use it in all sorts of ways.
