    I think that’s semantics. I don’t think you were born with the sacred texts in your mind, you were just raised in a Jewish family, learned Jewish values and grew up to be one. That’s what I mean when I say you’re not “born” with your religion (not that there’s any issue with that, the issue is in Johnson’s statement).

    People on the right see Jewish people as some sort of hidden cabal so obviously if you say you converted yourself they wouldn’t believe you. It’s unfortunate but you just have to deal with the fact those people can’t be reasoned with and ignore their opinions.

      I wish I could just ignore them. Sadly, too many of the “Jews are evil” folks are getting into positions of power and too many other people in positions of power are willing to look the other way for these people. So I need to take them and their threats seriously.

        I get it, probably not as much as you do but I get it. We just have to vote against them and hope for the best.
