The SBU detained three more “blackmarket gun dealers” who wanted to sell Russian sniper weapons and grenade launchers to criminals
As a result of complex measures in the Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv and Transcarpathian regions, the organizers of illegal business were detained.
Criminals tried to sell weapons and ammunition that were found in the de-occupied areas in the south and east of our country to criminals.
The Russian tank machine gun, grenade launchers, sniper weapons and explosives were among those seized from the accused.
🔹 Yes, in Vinnytsia: a dealer who prepared for sale an entire arsenal of “trophy” weapons and ammunition for the total amount of 3 million hryvnias was detained.
It was established that the attacker bought damaged samples of weapons through specialized Internet platforms, and then restored their combat properties and looked for customers for sale.
It is documented that the suspect tried to sell a Russian AK-12 and a Dragunov sniper rifle for almost UAH 300,000.
🔹 In Transcarpathia: the head of a local public organization was detained, who kept Degtyarev’s hand machine gun with cartridges in the car of an acquaintance.
Also, according to the available data, in addition to the illegal storage of weapons, the suspect is probably involved in the embezzlement of volunteer funds, which he allegedly collected for the needs of the Armed Forces.
The version under consideration is that he staged an assassination attempt and the robbery of his own office in order to hide the “traces” of the crime.
🔹 In Mykolaiv Oblast: SBU employees discovered another cache of weapons. The cache was arranged in a warehouse on the territory of a local garage cooperative.
During complex measures, the “owner” of the arsenal was established. He turned out to be a local resident who brought weapons and ammunition from the places of former battles in the region to the hideout.
Currently, the detainees have been notified of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They are in custody. Perpetrators face up to 7 years in prison.
All seized weapons are planned to be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
