I think Israel is concerned the people who want out work for Hamas, and will regroup and attack again from Egypt.

Which is not a wholly unfounded concern. It doesn’t justify genocide, but the best course of action isn’t immediately apparent.

Yes it fucking is: STOP BOMBING CIVILIANS

I don’t think you are a bad person, but quit being a fence rider. This is not the time for that.

What is happening is objectively evil. Anyone not calling for a full ceasefire is ethically complicit in on-going war crimes.

      NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE

I agree with you. I do not support Israel, and I believe they are in the active stages of a genocide, and if you’ll check, I haven’t said anything otherwise.

But it is not fence riding to recognize that Israel’s response was provoked, and I believe the desired result of the Hamas terrorist attacks. Hamas knows that Israel is run by people who do not view Palestinians as humans. They have been held back from the brink of genocide by the west for the entirety of their existence as a nation. They wanted to cast Israel in the role of the villain and Palestine as the victims.

And even if you didn’t believe that was the intent of Hamas, Terrorism is also objectively evil.

So I agree with you. Stop bombing civilians. Allow food, water, energy, communications, and medical aid into Gaza. But then what? That’s not a path forward, that’s just halting the progress down a bad path, an evil path that leads to more human suffering.

You say “No Justice, No Peace.” Israel claims to be defending themselves against Hamas, and their claim isn’t entirely baseless. How do you define justice in this scenario? Hamas has committed crimes for which there is no justice. Israel has committed different crimes for which there is no justice. The perpetrators of these crimes will never be held accountable.

So if Justice is a condition for Peace, then what is the next step? Describe a peaceful resolution? Everyone lays down arms and starts hugging? Netanyahu and Haniyeh sharing a cell at the Hague? Or are we just expecting this to end with hellfire and obliteration?

A ceasefire would be best for all, but how? If you get Israel to stop bombing, how did you do it and what’s the next step?
