I don’t think Biden actually wants any pauses, and is going through these motions to create talking points to portray himself as not too genocidal. That being said, does he realize that every time Netanyahu resists these overtures, Biden just looks weaker and less capable? That, by the way, is an outcome that Netanyahu loves, as he would enjoy nothing g more than haloing to reinstall trump. It’s really something to witness him dismantling his political prospects so efficiently, especially since US democracy is literally hanging in the balance.
