On Etsy, I was asking questions to some psychic named GypsyyyTarot, and I posted a neutral, slightly negative review after a reading. He or she told me my error in how I read a disclaimer, and told me to go fix my review, so it was completely positive, then said “Sadly I’m not going to be able to do this order for you as now I’m unable to trust this client relationship any longer. You’ll be refunded at the end of the day. Thank you and be blessed.” in response to an order I made for asking about the disclaimer, which I didn’t need.

Some people don’t take criticism well.

To stop this from happening again, I might talk to the seller before I leave a bad review and make sure they won’t ban me if I need to make a negative review.

I wanted to leave a note about this on Etsy, then realized I could leave it elsewhere, Reddit maybe.

Moral of the story that I am hoping you take: psychics are deceptive, untrustworthy people.

My aunt became addicted to a psychic who bled her out of tens of thousands of dollars over time. She would lie about being able to hear messages from my deceased grandfather, which I have to imagine she did by just giving vague suggestions, because grandpapa did not speak English.

It even got to the point where we had to stop her from donating huge amounts to the psychic after she’d come up with sob stories about having to leave because she had to go take care of her son across the country who couldn’t pay rent, or her sister in Chile who was going to lose her business. It was a long battle for my cousin to get a conservatorship over her accounts and cut her off.

Basically, psychics don’t want customers who might have doubts about them, hence why they decided to turn you away. They don’t want you to give any of their other marks the impression that it’s all a scam.

Oh no, your psychic blocked you, who could have predicted that? I didn’t even know there were psychics on Etsy. I thought these scams were limited to shitty little shops.

I’m mildly disappointed, though not terribly surprised, that etsy allows straight-up scams like psychics on their site. Their entire site has become a complete clownshow.

Try searching for anything, and their algorithm will show you completely different things than what you searched for. I bought a few tasteful MTG proxies there once, and now my ENTIRE FEED is populated by MTG alters and proxies with massive anime titties.

I wish someone would create an alternative to buy things from normal crafsty people, because etsy’s not that anymore. They don’t even treat their sellers well, so most of it is drop-shipped rubbish.
