There is a little * here though. It is relatively easy (generally) to make sure your mortgage does not have a penalty for early payment. Yeah, you may be on a 30 year plan, but nothing is stopping you from paying it in 10 to 15 years and saving a crap ton on the interest you aren’t going to pay.
