The world has been witnessing an arms race since the inception of the human being. Humans have always had a talent for manufacturing and upgrading commodities, even weapons that are typically intended to harm other humans, which is ironic but has been ingrained in human blood.

Weapons were first used for hunting during the dawn of the human species, but with the passage of time, weapons began to be used in battle to seize other people’s territories with the intention of expansion. As a result, progress continued indefinitely, but it became a race after WWII when antagonism between the United States and the Soviet Union peaked.

Wake me up when it can do something other than just sitting there and looking pretty lol, and considering what russians call stealthy it’ll be probably shinier than clean F-15

I mean, it can be very stealthy. Like Su-75, that can be only detected through a careful analysis of russian defense spending

Russia still hasn’t figured out stealth is more than just shape. It’s also the radar absorbing paint and tactics.

Actually, I hope Russia puts the billions of dollars in aircraft development to build one. Because it’ll still be bad enough that it won’t give many capabilities, and the funds won’t be going to the war in Ukraine. So Russia, please keep dumping money into this vanity project to keep up your charade of technologicaly relevancy, Ukraine will thank you.

After it’s sent to the field, I don’t think it will be long before the Ukrainians give it a cool soot-colored finish and some fire details.

They’ve got a passion for applying this artistic talent to pretty much everything Putin sends them.

What creative people! We should send them more art supplies.

I know you could have argued fairly easily that the cold war never ended but that argument is a slam dunk lately.

Why would you want a stealth bomber to carry standoff range munitions like Russia’s ‘hypersonics.’ (Actually air launched ballistic missiles) I guess they aren’t confident in it’s stealth profile if they still want to keep long range.
