The flavor of the fully ripe strawberry was incredible.
Most important thing this year was putting wire mesh over the plants so nothing else could grab the food before it was ready to harvest.

I’m not entirely sure, but I’m in a very Northern climate and this variety is specifically capable of dealing with extremely low winter temperatures, like -30C. That’s been one of the goals I have for this year, is to have my plants live until next year.
Oh man, I’m so envious; I had home grown strawberries a few years back and store bought ones could never compare.
Can you freeze them? Partly frozen strawberries with granola, yogurt, or ice cream are delicious.
If I had a lot more of them then I probably would do that, but I’ve got a little guy who loves fresh fruit, they will be eating the moment they get picked. Haha
