We used a plastic support grid but as you can see it has been bent. What kind of material would support it without bending? Would wood be enough? Thanks!
The thin grid-style rebar that’s used in concrete might work. Though you’d want to paint it.
Run a steel cable or rod between that wall and the brick pillar?
Our plan was to create a shady area using the wisteria and its leaves. A steel cable was already there but it broke today
What country are you in? That will determine materials availability. It looks like Italy.
That’s right, I live in Italy (I’m curious, how could you tell?)
I’ve spent enough time in sunny villas in Tuscany to get a sense of it. Anyways, how did the cable break? If you can run a braided steel cable through some hooks or clamps it’ll be rugged enough to hold in place, I worry about the stone being too soft and tearing out from a masonry screw under tension, but it’s a thought.
Just saw your lattice comment, the lattice would be fine without being under pressure from the wysteria, as an additional sightline blocker but those sheets get hot and soften in the sun.
