Match Events (Experimental)

Time Event Type Event Description
0’ And we are off
2’ A foul gives a free kick in a dangerous area to Madrid. Marinoo goes down due to a contact
3’ Mainoo looks to be going off for Eriksen. Free kick is wasted
4’ Goal Madrid Bellingham beats the offside trap as Wan Bissaka played him on. He chipped over Onana to get the first goal of the game
8’ Casemiro and Garnacho linkup well for a chance. Good effort
12’ Great run by Vini who cuts across a dangerous ball. Still 1-0
18’ Feel like I should mention this. Onana passed a cool ball under pressure from 2 real players pressing hard
19’ Real get another opportunity as they break the offside trap yet again. We really need to work on this. Granted keeping Vini at bay is a challenge any day
30’ Real’s counter is deadly and hard to manage for the united defense. United seem much more fluid in possession. The game is going their way but positive signs for united
34’ I feel bad for whoever has to listen to these ESPN commentators on any regular basis
37’ A great flurry of passes leads to a chance for Rashford who misses the target by a bit. Good movement from United
43’ 🟨 Lisandro gets a Yellow for being himself, All harm all foul. Good strong mistimed tackle on Jude.
45’ Half Time 1:0 to Real
46’ 2nd Half KO No changes for Utd
51’ United get 2 great chances. One from open lay as a series of passes opens up Real. The other from a dangerous corner
56’ Excellent strike by Garnacho towards goal. Would’ve been a banger if it weren’t for a good save
60’ UTD Subs That’s the team . Too many to count. Linerlof, Antony, Dalot Williams, Pellistri, Magure, Sancho
65’ End to end chances as Scott M. Gets a great chance at goal after a good run. Real get another break on the counter but Onana saves via his legs
68’ United has been playing very well. We get another good chance with VdB. As i say this a corner from Mardrid requires a line save. Exciting game this
70’ Vini Jr goes off
85’ Chances are going both ways but United definitely have the edge. Real are having difficulty trying to get a stable counter together. As i say this, some people invade the pitch…
89’ Goal Real Madrid 2-0 Moment of magic from … Joselu? Great finish
90+’ Full Time 2:0 Manchester Untied lose;

well, time to spam some fucking opinion up in this shit.

we really need a proper striker, and Rashford at LW and Antony at RW.

biggest issue same as last season, can’t score goals.

      AWB

commentators were praising him, he was quite good, especially surprised by his long passes forward, but he just doesn’t gel with Bruno at RW (just please stop putting Bruno at RW)

      Shaw

good as almost always, but he doesn’t really gel with Garnacho either.

      Sancho

some good stuff but also some dreadful cheap balls given away, i am afraid the main issue with hin is the ability to handle the pressure.

      Dalot

some sloppy passes, kinda like sancho, doesn’t seem to gel with Antony, id we are gobna force Bruno RW, Dalot is probably better behind him and AWB seems to work better with Antony

      Antony

if he starts hitting the goal and scoring some, he will be worth the money we paid for him.

      Onana

goddamn, I had high expectations and he is absolutely fucking meeting them. those passes are crisp and into good positions, didn’t catch a single ball going out for a throw-in from him.

      sweeped up attacks, claimed crosses.

that ball to I think Eriksen when he was being oressed by 3 real players was very reminiscent of the S3villa game where DDG oassed to Maguire being pressed, and shows how much difference it makes when the pass is properly executed, it was the right power so Eriksen while being closed down wasn’t absolutely fucked, so he could instantly turnover to wan-bissaka with a neat one touch pass

Onana was massive. The quick decisions under immense pressure and pressing attackers at a very high line were incredible to see. I think our team was playing a bad high line at the start and got slowly better at it over time.

oh yeah, Madrid simply stopped pressing for quite long periods, because it wasn’t accomplishing anything.

Sadly our players seemed much less used to what onana was doing than Madrid who knew how to deal with it quite well.

      Brandon Williams

pleasantly surprised how well he played, goos defensively pinged some good balls forward

      Scotty && Maguire

some good moves and goos carries forward, but bith seem to be suffering from the same issue, once they carried the ball forward they go into bad situations and then they don’t know who to pass to so all the momentum gained from their progressive carry is just lost.

      Bruno

Bruno is Bruno but he is absolutely wasted at RW, I know what ten hag tries to accomplish with that, but it ain’t working, we need him centrally.

      Eriksen

Same stuff since his injury, just not enough presence physically in the midfield.

      Garnacho

still no indication he is good as a starter, lots of his moves ended by simple pokes by the defenders, well the good news is once those defenders are tired it’s much harder to execute those “poke the ball away” moves so he should stoll be really effective as a sub.

      Mount

being surrounded by Eriksen, Rashford and Garnacho, which means pretty bad pressing and no Bruno to do the progressive passes for him meant he was kinda invisible.

Completely agree with your points. And we need to play our best players in their best position. Bruno on in the middle and Rashford on the left as you say
