You’re welcome, of course, I didn’t do it all by myself. There were many that helped me along the way, Mrs. Aldridge my Kindergarden teacher, Joe lagansky my gym coach, Terry Crews, Nina Hartley, and so many others. In short, thank you for recognizing me.

After a long day of getting your soul crushed by work I’d rather not get my soul further crushed by getting my ass stomped in a multiplayer game by people that literally play the game all day every day. I want to feel like a god in a single player game instead.

I also don’t want to deal with people yelling/constantly talking/some loud ass fan on in the background

I grew up loving Mortal Kombat, used to play trilogy at my neighbours where my parents couldn’t see. Eventually got to renting Deadly Alliance, got Shaolin Monks from Santa one year. Absolutely loved those games.

I went online about 4 times on those games and was walloped from one end of the screen to the next, I could not ever see getting to that skill level. So I stopped going online. I’m the best in my house.

I never played multiplayer after the PS3 because I refused to pay. It also pushed me into PC gaming, since I hated the concept of online subscription to play online.

That’s the only reason I don’t play multiplayer modes, i refuse to pay. I only play during free play weekends.

Oh man I really hope this becomes a strong and lasting trend. To me gaming basically is single player. Multiplayer games exist for sure and if you can play them locally they can be fun, but they’re like the specialty flavour chips that’s fun for novelty, to me actual games, the original salt flavour chips, are single player and somehow that got forgotten and now everything’s finger lime and pepper or hoisin.

Yeah I play multiplayer on PC and single player on PS5, I’m not paying extra for an inferior experience that I could have on PC.

remember this type of title from back when Bioshock 2 launched, and they shoehorned a multiplayer death match mode into that.

The only time I play online is to socialize with my sister or some old friends. I mainly turn my Playstation on to experience new stories and Playstation just has the games that I enjoy. Every now and then I play something on the Switch but that is rare these days.

I don’t have enough time to get into multiplayer games, especially when leveling up helps you get through the game. The last time I did that was Bad Company 2 on the Xbox360. Today, I’m all about the longform single player experience. Just finished Control and now enjoying Immortals: Fenyx Rising.

Another way of reading this is that people who spend more time on multiplayer games aren’t interested in the PS5. PS4/PC is likely fine for them, no need to get one.

iirc there was info out there saying that those who bought and played call of duty, a chunk of them only played that (and virtually nothing else). its part of the reason why Sony didnt want the Activision buyout because its guaranteed console sales and ps+ sales down the drain, related to why Sont kept pushing for playstation exclusive COD content (to make it the definitive platform to play it on)

The games industry has always since it’s inception run on exploitation and greed. It’s not that they think Mutliplayer games are better, it’s just that pissing contests land bigger whales who will pay allot of money to be able to digitally piss more and this has driven the industry. The 1 fucking mount DLC in warcraft getting more money than SC2 basegame blows my mind but thats the emperors new clothes reality we are living in and SC2 still had multiplayer.

Why else would I own a Playstation? Single player games are the only reason. Didn’t want to wait a year for a game to come to PC.
