When you think about it is the other way around. A meat eater is (rightfully) annoyed if they have to ask whether the other person is vegan. Thats why i make sure to introduce myself as “Hello i am vegan” and if the other person tells me their name only then i dare to say “My name is Obonga”. For the deaf i make sure to wear a t-shirt that says “VEGAN MASTERRACE” at all times ( i once forgot on a funeral and i am still embarressed).

Hint: You know you are a real pro if your answer the phone with: “Vegan, i am. Hello.” This way you convey the most important information right away.
