My immediate reaction to this, is that these statements both seem to become less & less true as the American project continues onwards.

We all will one day.
I don’t see what this guy being a crypto-dude has to do with the argument you’re making here. I’m not even sure what that argument is, specifically, tbh.
Both the head & body are individually quite round. However you have yet to complete 100% roundness, because the two are still distinguishable between eachother.
Never Stop Posting.
The groups I know which organize women workers are also the groups arguing for better language. The liberal groups I know who argue against inclusive language are the groups which often are not in solidarity with women workers when there are strikes or conflicts between bosses and workers.
In light of that info, I retract my previous argument.
You are probably right on that account, tbh, and it’s a good point worth considering.
Was using female as a noun considered normal at some point? I genuinely do not know.
I think they used to do that in Coronet educational videos in like the 30’s-50’s. I’m not sure that it’s ever been common outside that though.
Edit: That’s these dudes btw.

If someone makes the claim that last week France genocided the English, and I respond “No that’s fucking stupid and did not happen.” I don’t magically become a genocide denialist as a result of making that statement.
Ah, but did you consider William the Conqueror?
:smuglord:
No, but I don’t wash full plates. Only after the food has been eaten, do I wash it.
My apologies, I’ve been washing dishes.
The true spirit of the revolution lives in the Irony-Bro.
I legit got an esophageal ulcer because I was making my chili too hot. :/
It gets sold as you only need to do it once, but it is something that needs constant attention and requires a review of those who say they follow The Revolution to make sure they still continue to do so.
Absolutely, no disagreement on that position.
I think that’s kind of true of all political programs though, to some extent. Everything is of course subject to entropy.
Those are still good channels to check out though, if you’re interested. :3
You’re not wrong, the entire point of Marxist Internationalism & Solidarity is precisely to combat that tendency. In short, this is not really a counter-argument to Marxism, precisely because the vast majority of Marxist theory (that written between the Revolutions of 1848, and the revolutions in Russia & China) are written in exactly that context, and exists to address & make the argument to workers why that’s a bad idea for them to do.
Of course getting people to accept & understand that is harder than just saying it; but the point is that this isn’t something Marxists are unawares of. If you are interested in further (digestable) info on the topic I would suggest the youtube channels Jonas Čeika - CCK Philosophy, Hakim, Yugopnik & Second Thought.
No, but it would look fundamentally different than what it does right now. One of the core premises is that culture & politics are inextricably formed out of property relations & the distribution of economic surpluses.
My position is that we should federate with all currently extant Lemmy instances & fight everybody all at once.
TBH, posting here has kind of sucked shit for the last two years, and I mainly stuck around due to the legacy, and also personal obstinance. 👀
Everyone talks about post-hog, but what about pre-hog?
