  • Pretty sure it’s already been scraped. Plus there is the way back machine. But I can’t even count the amount of times I have run in to an issue at work or at home and googled “Problem Reddit” or “item review Reddit” . That info has been invaluable.

Leave Reddit. No more new content. But it’s sad to see such a knowledge base just wiped. It’s hurting the normal people. Reddit has their data. AI has scraped it, or will scrape the history sites of it.

  • Like, I understand Twitch has server operating costs and stuff, And they are owned by Amazon so its all a rounding figure anyway, But its CRAZY to me that these people refuse to pay or keep happy the people who are the SOLE source of content.

Twitch’s ONLY content are the streamers on their site. Reddits ONLY content are people aggregating links and posting to their site… And yet these companies continue to just piss off their creators.

Im assuming its just because there is no viable alternative. You wanna stream? gotta do it there for views. Got the streamers over a barrel…

  • I live near Springfield MA, so not far from Hartford myself.

Your not wrong about prices going up. We are just lucky at the position we are in to make enough money to go out. but we kinda choose where we spend our money.

If we go out its usually to a small brewery or something like that. Where the money we do spend goes to a small, local buisness. We have a brewery not far from our house, and i was so scared they wouldnt make it through the pandemic. They opened in like 2018 or 2019 and were not super busy.

But they are doing better then ever and we make sure to visit often. They know our names, we know theirs, and i have no issue having a good time because i know who and what my money is going to. Ill spend $6 a beer and $10 for a Kielbasa dog there, rather then spend $12 for a meal at wendys anyday

  • I mean they would have gotten a lot less push-back on the other side if they had done that.

dont get me wrong, i think forgiveness is great.

But the interest rate alone is just crazy. Your guaranteed to just stay in debt forever. Especially since they wanted at least Bachlor degrees (pre-pandemic anyway) for EVERYTHING. looking on indeed they wanted college degrees for jobs paying $12/hr. Like cmon… How is someone supposed to pay back a loan of $20k + back at 6.5% interest making such small amounts of money. thats not counting trying to find a place to live on that pay.

They wonder why so many more teens and people in their 20s were living at home still. Too expensive to leave.
