My daughter caught RSV when she was a couple of months old. It was the scariest 3 weeks of my life. My wife didn’t really sleep and just held her upright so she could help her clear her lungs when she started to cough. They slept in 45 minute chunks. I am glad this vaccine is getting approved; I certainly wish it was available when my wife was pregnant.
By keeping her upright, it kept the mucus and junk from pooling in her nose and throat. Definitely not a fun time, but that was over 8 years ago now. Everyone is doing much better now!
