Best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, and today. We need to surge weapons to them and we need to allow them to fully use the weapons we are sending. The US still blocks Ukraine from using things like ATACMS in Russia.
For all that bluster about red lines, when stuff at a Russian airbase is hit by western weapons, it’s radio silence from the Kremlin. I’m hoping to hell after the elections in a month that Biden will authorize use of US and European missiles against military targets in Russia.
Just remember to not play League of Legends. I’m pretty sure that game is designed to trick you into thinking you are having fun, but what is actually happening is everyone in team chat is yelling at you and you are probably yelling (at least privately) too.
Lets put these all together then:
I don’t know about you, but that all sounds quite reasonable. That is a nice home, student loans that are very affordable and will be paid off soon, a good job, and a promising career path. You own your home, meaning you are building equity. And, hell, you can even rent out one of the bedrooms to vastly lower that already reasonable monthly mortgage.
This may not be what you specifically want in life, but it is a very achievable goal and a comfortable life for the average man.
The trades (electricians, etc) pay well and are in demand basically everywhere. The jobs are out there.
If you move outside the city, shit gets much, much cheaper. Mortgages are easily $1,750/mo ($300k, 30yr, tax + insurance included). If your goal is to live in NYC or Seattle, you will be spending quite a bit on your chosen lifestyle. If your goal instead is to buy/rent an affordable 2-3br home, there are lots of options.
Jesus.
Yeah, supposedly it is stealth, but looking at that perfectly round exhaust… Round being a major, major impediment to stealth.
Have a look at the F-22, the exhaust is all angels. The F-35 is a bit less stealthy, and it’s exhaust is also all angles. The B2 hides it’s exhaust on the top of the aircraft…and is still all angles.
The biggest thing for me is not that companies make mistakes, but what they do afterword. The fact intel is still trying to brush the oxidation issues under the rug, rather than making their customers whole, is quite telling.

The CEP on these ballistic missiles must be insane. Reminds me how the first SCUD missiles had a CEP of 3,000m. They just kinda chucked them in the general direction of something.
The one thing so many countries seem to learn the hard way:
The best resource for that type of info is Oryx’s visually confirmed list. They have one for both Russian losses and Ukrainian losses. Every link is to a picture or video of the loss; click a few. Then just scroll and scroll and scroll.
Did someone just defect?
This is what I have noticed with almost all of the micro commuter cars. They cost more than a Civic; often significantly more. If they were half the price of a Civic I bet people would be all over them.
war is always the worst possible option
I’m currently living in a country that was freed from British colonialism via war. I’m damn happy that war happened, I’m damn happy we have our own country.
The fun problem with isolationism is it just allows problems to fester; then you have something much worse to deal with later. You may want to ignore the world, but the world won’t ignore you.
Edit: An Iranian proxy has been shooting civilian shipping and civilian crews from all countries for the last year. There are problems one cannot simply ignore.
Yep! He is pretty popular and does some nice reviews. He generally likes pointing out negative aspects a bit more. But he is one of the more honest and amusing reviewers out there.
He is the same guy that used to do the Zero Punctuation reviews.
Yeah, you can tell they aren’t even trying. It isn’t like getting USB 3.0 connections is some amazing feat, and they can’t even be bothered with that on an $800 phone.
The article complains about 20W charging speed being too slow, but if you care about your battery longevity, the slower the better. Those 5W bricks they used to ship with every phone were perfect and are still what I use for charging my phones. I actually never bought a phone with one, but picked up a few for cheap used.
