Accused? The proof of the affair was part of the evidence for his criminal trial.
The point is, enough of them said No that they didn’t have a choice but to let them do it.
Imagine what they could have done with an actual union to organize and coordinate their efforts.
About 3 years too late.
Not likely, considering the last few times it happened it didn’t. This is the first time it’s happened since the 1980s, not the first time it’s happened.
I’m sure China would be thrilled if Russia started WWIII on their border.
But let’s be honest though, world war III started 3 years ago and as of right now there are currently 9 more active conflicts going on worldwide than the peak of world war II, but no one is going to call it a world war until the superpowers are in direct conflict with each other.
Jim Jordan (Gym is a nickname from years ago when he allowed students to get molested by a school doctor) is a representative from the state of Ohio who was involved with the January 6th plot to overthrow the government.
When they investigated it, they subpoenaed him and he refused to show up. So far it’s been 3 years and no action has been taken whatsoever.
He helped plot a coup, he’s STILL in power, and he ignored a subpoena from Congress with no consequences whatsoever.
He ranks considerably lower than the Supreme Court does in the grand scheme of things and if they’re not going to force him to comply, they won’t force any of the federal justices to comply.
Didn’t stop them in Viet Nam
After a half decade of delays and several major issues, including it spinning out of control in space on it’s first test flight, and all the issues with literally anything else Boeing touches, I can’t see how they talked them into getting in it in the first place.
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t had a single fully successfully test flight yet so I’m surprised even NASA allowed it.
While I agree the spread of CSAM needs to be stopped, we can’t violate everyone’s privacy in the effort to do it.
And are actual people going to be reviewing these messages or are we just going to blindly trust AI not to flag innocent people on accident?
Funny thing is, he was so closely aligned with Trump’s ideas, the only people I ever heard say they planned on voting for him were my MAGA relatives.
If Gym Jordan doesn’t have to comply with a congressional subpoena, what makes you think Clarence Thomas will?
They won’t stop then they’re out, they’ll just draft people who didn’t sign up for this shit and force them to fight to the death.
Low risk ≠ No risk
Catholicism, people still give a percentage of their paychecks to an autocrat of a foreign city state so he can tell them what God wants. You’d figure after 1,400 years people would figure out they were getting scammed.
That’s not too say protestant churches aren’t guilty of the same things, they just haven’t been at it as long.
Currently, the things driving climate change are extremely profitable. Oil companies make billions if not trillions of dollars per year in profit. And some companies have even made climate change itself profitable by selling things like carbon offsets (which are just tickets to keep polluting) and does nothing to actually address the problem.
We’re not going to see any meaningful push for climate mitigation until climate change starts hurting wealthy people in their wallets.
The problem is, by the time these investment properties start getting swallowed up by the sea the ball is already rolling too fast to do anything about it.
When the rich start panicking about climate change we know we’re fucked.
It’s unsustainable long term, eventually either someone with enough money comes along and ends the game and establishes some kind of an autocracy, Or enough people will get pissed off about it that they can’t ignore making reform’s on it.
I feel like we’re much closer to one of those eventualities than the other at the moment, because as far as I’m aware there’s not much for campaign finance reform on the horizon. And it’ll be interesting to see what kind of punishment is handed out for violating our current campaign finance laws, but I’m not holding my breath for incarceration.
My work closes the last two weeks of the year for the holidays and we get paid during our time off (If You’re not in a union, get one) and a lot of us save up some vacation and take an extra week on top, so December counts as Sloth Month for me.
Are you retarded?
Anti-vax people depend on heard immunity bullshit. My argument is that not enough people are getting vaccinated and you think that means I’m Anti-vax?
Jesus Christ I’m glad stupid isn’t contagious.
Get fucked asswipe.
I don’t.
I don’t have kids, I work 40hrs a week, I don’t buy little things I want because there’s a few “big” things I want that’ll I’ll need about $800 for.
I make it almost paycheck to paycheck and it will take me at least 6 months to save $800 if I buy nothing else.
