I know you’re right and that’s probably what the movie is but it would be a lot funnier if they instead just ripped off John Carpenter’s They Live. Put on the ViewMaster to see the truth kids!

Do you think you could post a picture of the exact error message? Also you could check the Plex logs through the web app and you should see the exact error and what component caused it. If I had to take a guess, I’d say your uncompressed movie has something that’s causing the server to transcode (TrueHD audio or a forced HDMV subtitle stream) and the transcoding process is failing.
Fucked a lot of kids
We switched to a different tool that’s developed by the same company I work for, and there has been nonstop complaining about it ever since. Jira might not be the best tool, but it’s better than the alternatives by miles.
Also technical shit posting on Confluence is just the best. (I don’t like Atlassian, I just want to go back to Jira)
Life, that is. It would just make life a little easier.
It’s not that it’s difficult, it’s just that there is less interacting with the TV keyboard if you use an iPhone/mac/whatever. You can login with a password without any issues.
If you want to avoid transcoding entirely, a Nvidia Shield is probably your best bet as it supports a few more audio codecs and HDMI passthrough that an Apple TV doesn’t support. That being said, the Nvidia Shield is both more expensive and older than an Apple TV. I would argue that an Apple TV has a better overall experience with third party apps, newer hardware, more up-to-date OS, whereas a Shield works best for Plex/jellyfin.
I bought a Nvidia Shield first to replace a Smart TV and Steam Link and was pretty disappointed with my overall experience. I ended up biting the bullet and getting an Apple TV and the only issue I’ve had is that now TrueHD streams are getting transcoded.
Of course, your experience and desires are probably different so would just suggest looking around for what works best for you.
You don’t need an Apple device to login, it just makes things easier.
Well dang, I guess that “learn about proxmox” line on my to-do list just moved a little higher. For the most part, I’ve enjoyed using ESXi and am sad to see it go.
If I’m reading this right, he, and his family, got doxxed and threatened for the “I like Girls” video?? What in the actual fuck??
Also that video is a straight banger.
There’s a somewhat rinky-dink course in my hometown that’s pretty cheap but still nice. It was pretty fun to go in the evening and walk nine holes where you get a good but easy exercise with some nature to it.
Trying to find that same experience away from my hometown has been a challenge. The sport is too damn expensive!
The Creator is a fun watch if not just for really good visual effects and some decently good sci-fi ideas. Sad to see it not doing so hot.
For macOS, there’s a separate application you need to get magnet links to work. I think this is it but am unable to check currently: https://github.com/Lord-Kamina/Deluge-Magnet-Handler
August 31st is the premiere date if you don’t want to watch the trailer.
But sweet goodness, I am excited.
That’s a real neat saucepan ya got there.
Looks great!
