  • I think they’ll recover from the reputation damage. I hope they learn from this that you can’t trust just anyone and you have to be careful about who you let in. They seem to have responded rapidly too and the vandalism and blocks have been undone. I hope now they can reorganize, because imo this is really what they were missing, especially for a project that wants to allow all/most leftist currents.

It was also unclear, in my opinion again, that Parabola was only an admin of the project since yesterday. From how active they were, you wouldn’t have thought so. This is why I think they need to first develop organizational methods, to be more effective down the line.

  • I added an update, it seems Parabola was a Wisconcom alt – at least that’s what the leftypedia staff believes. I tried to warn them over a year ago about him but they didn’t seem to care, so to be honest I don’t really feel bad. But this is of course only my personal impression.

This however also shows two things:

    1. Wisconcom has made it clear his problem is not with ProleWiki specifically, he just has a weird fixation on hoxhaism, and has shown himself to be a wrecker to marxism and an enemy of marxists once and for all,
    2. He didn’t go away and will likely never go away, he just pivoted from ProleWiki and Lemmygrad to Leftypedia. We can never let our guard down around him, not as long as “Wisconcom” exists.

  • I finally have some time to take a look at your question. There’s that part like you said, that zionism supposes that no matter where Jews live they will always be alien. And also that they “need” to have their own ethnostate as they could never integrate with anyone else. In no uncertain terms, Zionism says that Jews are predisposed to committing genocide.

The first argument is exactly what Hitler and tbh many (non-Jewish) people before him believed in, he didn’t come out of nowhere. The second is what eugenicists believe.

Some people don’t like the comparison but it’s becoming more mainstream as the world sees what ‘Israel’ is doing in Gaza. Zionism shares a lot of traits with fascism, to the point we could probably call zionism a form of fascism. Zionism didn’t come out of nowhere either, it shares a history with the rise of proto-fascism of the late 19th century.

  • Color revolution. Not all protestors are paid but the organizers are trained by the US embassy, and they tell them to use those kinds of pop culture symbols. They probably didn’t tell them outright to film a video doing the salute from the hunger games specifically.

They don’t necessarily even have to pay the organizers, though they probably get paid to some extent, especially when the colrev starts to wane and people go home. In that case you want to have your NGO on the ground still keeping up the agitprop, and when it’s their job to do that, they’ll do it no questions asked. They don’t get paid directly from the state department wiring millions into their account, rather their own NGO gets paid from funds and shell companies, and then they dispose of that money as they wish locally.

  • The pedophile Dershowitz also believes this, but he extends it to all Palestinians. He wouldn’t extend the same definition to ‘Israelis’, however.

As he is on the side that has the power, he can get away with weasel words. He can legitimately say “of course I don’t want children to be killed” while internally cackling every time a video of dead Palestinian children pops up on his feed.

He can do this because the child-killing will continue no matter his opinion of it. He knows it will, even if he was somehow influential within ‘Israeli’ politics (he probably is with all the pedos they harbor). He could publicly tell Nethanyahu “Stop killing children”, and they would look at each other with a smile on their face, knowing that the public eats it up.

As the oppressed side and being on the side of the oppressed, we have to be much more direct with our arguments. I don’t believe any settler is innocent, and saying this instantly puts me at odds with the child rapist Dershowitz who said “sure some people in Gaza are innocent, why not”. However in this case, I was directly rewriting his article to make a point, and thus the line that some settlers might be innocent was included as it was part of the original article (although, from the further arguments in the article, I was actually arguing they can not be innocent, much like Dershowitz was subtly saying the same about Gazans).

I plan on expanding this argument if I end up writing my own article based on the title of this one, which is looking increasingly more likely.

  • This isn’t a huge thing in the grand scheme of things but I see Pluto has been talking about making his own wiki on fear of being banned or having his edits reverted a few times already and I figure I could set the record straight on how we (ProleWiki) operate.

We don’t ask anyone the party they are in, if any. This is something they are free to share, but don’t have to. We also know which is Pluto’s account on the wiki and have not banned him or taken any action against him. He’s free to log in and edit any time he wants.

On CPUSA, the page is ‘protected’ (not in the same way wikipedia pages are protected) because we have essentially one editor doing the writing on it. This happens with several other pages, when we have someone who has proficiency in the topic, they kind of become the page’s manager and should be notified of big edits, either before or after the fact. (Before- so they can help with the edits, and after- so they can review it and see if they want to change anything). Change in this case doesn’t necessarily mean removing, it can mean adding content, pictures, or even reordering or rewriting parts of the article to include the different edits that were made.

On this basis, whether Pluto’s edits on the CPUSA page would go through or be reverted can only be determined once he makes an edit, which has yet to happen. So there’s no way to say what would happen to his edits. I should note he has not approached us either to make edits or discuss the changes he wants to bring to (any) page, which is totally fine, but it is one reason I’m making this comment now, to clarify that we don’t bully editors off the platform or anything lol.
