Was curious, so I just checked the replay, and it took just 40 seconds from the moment the safety car was called until the moment Norris drove into his pit box – even if the order for a switch to softs had been made immediately, that’s indeed not a lot of time, with a high chance of it going wrong. Glad Norris managed to hang on in second. Would Hamilton have had more chance on a pass by biding his time and being closer as soon as DRS was enabled? Or was passing Norris in the 1st lap (or 2nd) after the safety car his best bet after all?
I am amongst the ones that didn’t like the outfit photos at all - so I was a little sad as one of them is currently a hot post, but as with reddit, I don’t need to click it :) To each his own!
Yeah, he has a contract with them :(
Good sprint indeed. Hulkenberg, unlike most pitting, really risked losing a few important points – in the end he almost hauled back both Alonso and Stroll. Don’t think that 1 point for Alonso would improve his chances towards attacking Verstappen, but Perez is still in sight for him.
“A surprise top three” – I assume you were not surprised to see Max there! 😅
