What groups inside the vassals would be plotting such an opposition? The US and Europe are not separate things, they are just parts of the world capitalist empire. The capitalists freely move their capital and their residency between the countries of the empire, and the European politicians likewise are guaranteed cushy gigs in international organizations if they don’t rock the boat. These people have nothing to gain from loyalty to their country and trying to oppose the US, and everything to gain from just keep selling out their countries like they have been doing.

This is one thing I miss from the first Trump presidency, you could actually have a conversation with liberals about all the problems with the US and all the problems the US was causing globally, and they would sometimes be inclined to listen because Trump was at the helm. Then, after Biden won, they completely hunkered down and were all “What do you mean, our guy is in the White House, everything is perfect, shut up you lunatic leftie”.

You shouldn’t be surprised, this is the country that overruled the Nuremberg Trials so that they wouldn’t have to reckon with having recruited a shitload of Ukrainian nazis after WWII. You might remember the recent fuss about the entire Canadian House of Commons giving a standing ovation to one of them.
