I want a game where I can have fun and feel challenged without being lost with <30 minutes of reading facts. Does that work for Deadlock?
Valorant’s the only competitive game I play now because it fit my needs so well

After having dumped 1.5k hours into League, the thought of learning all the trivia to play another Moba at a competent enough level to have fun is something I never wanna do again
It’s going to be Blockchain again. Probably with distributed or decentralization attached
When y’all weren’t paying attention, bitcoin reached a new high and it’s over 60k again. Half the recruiters reaching out to me represent some dumb Blockchain startup
businesses buy the licenses for their employees
This min wage one makes perfect sense imo. If you’re not a commie and make significantly above average min wage, you want the people serving you at stores and what not to make as little as possible
A raise in minimum wages does actually cause companies to pass on those costs to the customers
Other way around
Societies start to collapse -> leaders start exploiting their people harder to try and keep them disciplined and contain unrest
These jobs are largely just people “knowing” what a bunch of other people are doing so they can coordinate the labor between all of them and is specialized paperwork/administrative/inter-team communications labor so that the other types of specialized labor (factory, accounting, engineering, etc.) dont have to spend time on it
You could definitely lie your way into one if you learn all the lingo, and look/speak/act like a typical corporate drone
These jobs are ridiculed cause the most important aspects are generally just acting professional, understand classist jargon, and being prompt with responding to emails/messages.
Versus other bullshit office jobs that actually require knowledge or skills like accounting, HR, legal, finance etc.

I’ve heard of people enrolling in cheap colleges for only 1 class per semester and getting the school healthcare plan because it’s cheaper than buying it normally
They just don’t do any school and keep repeating this
Turns out that there’s not a lot of billionaires that want to set aside their life for 18 months to go train to be an astronaut for the ISS
I wonder if there’s some law that they could lobby to change. I wouldn’t mind if billionaires started going to space without any training whatsoever
These polls don’t say anything about the mood because the candidates to vote for are different
Fair enough, but the perception of black women is a far fall down from black men in America tbh
Makes sense. If they hustle at the factories hard enough for 7 years you can become a coveted delivery driver
Maybe I’m too woke but I’m pretty sure it’s because Harris is black, Indian, and a women that the results flipped so hard
Union members aren’t all far left on average or anything. Cops have and support their unions
Joining a union directly and clearly improves their own situation. Can the said be said for having a black, indian women be president for the white and/or male union members?
Are you confident there is a complete insignificant number of teamster members that have no racial biases at all? And that they all believe women as just as capable leaders?
How the fuck do I pay the drivers and a ride is a marketplace transaction between me and drivers when Uber is the one that sets both the prices and the cut of the fee the driver gets?
In what part of any of that did I or the driver make? I’m clearly paying Uber for the prices they set and then the drivers get paid from a cut that Uber also sets
No other marketplace be it eBay, AliExpress, or the local farmers market works like this

I dont mess around with Android but from the article it seems like side loaded apps have easier access to OS APIs?
That’s what I meant
These changes seem fine tbh, non-technical users genuinely have no reason to be side loading apps that can bypass everything. the average Android user probably doesn’t even understand what an operating system is
Tbh it’d actually be nice if Android out the box could be as locked down as iOS but stay as modifiable as it is now so technical users can still easily open everything up and tinker with it

I had the craziest interaction at work today. Had to talk to marketing people so they could figure out a slogan and they deadass just copied what I typed into chatgpt, and responded with a photo of the output…
I just typed that chatgpt response into chatgpt, asked it for it’s opinion, and replied with a photo of that output
Holy shit I never felt so disrespected before in my entire life
