9·1 year agoFriends and I concluded our yearly 9/11 Fightcade tournament. Sad to report that I’ve lost the belt from last year because I got stuck with 2 fighting games in a row (I suck at fighting games, let me play Bubble Bobble…)

Work with animals is a source of suffering to all of us. We treat them like babies who cannot speak. The more time passes, the more I’m sorry about it. We shouldn’t have done it … We did not learn enough from this mission to justify the death of the dog.

11·1 year agoEvery year me and some friends have a 9/11 gaming tournament with random games on Fightcade like Street Hoop and Neo Turf Masters. Winner gets Steambux and inevitably there’s a new commemorative “never forget” image based on the days events.
I would never admit this outside the internet cuz it sounds hella edgy but I look forward to it every year…
Unironically yes if the situation were removed from the profit motive I mentioned in my other comment so that we aren’t just shifting the exploitation from animals to people.
Most animal research doesn’t yield usable results anyway.
Related to this thread, the researcher who regretted sending Laika to space said it didn’t even yield enough knowledge to have been worth doing.
