From my post: “Many people would go to the ER for non-ER reasons because it was the only way to get treatment when you didn’t have the money to pay”
Seems pretty obvious that I meant the ER…

It’s way easier to kill yourself with opioids- accidentally or on purpose. That’s why it’s being treated like an epidemic.
As far as I know, Hospitals are not allowed to refuse you care; no matter what your finances are, they have to help you. Many people would go to ER for non-ER reasons because it was/is the only way for them to get treatment. (Because other medical centers can refuse you.)
The hospitals will try to get the money from you however they can and they do offer payment plans based on income. Ultimately, though, due many? The debt gets discharged to a debt collection agency that harasses you incessantly for 7 years until it gets discharged from your record.
It destroys your credit (an arbitrary number that every citizen has that supposedly shows how trustworthy they are and how much they are likely to pay you if you loan them money) until it drops off after the statute of limitations (7-10 years, depending on the state).
Solid answer to a different question 😉
At least the bit where they can parkour over the fence is definitely intended. Not sure about the lava room hole… but honestly, it probably wouldn’t have survived this long if it bothered Tango / was truly unintentional.
Dawn Soap, Hot Water, and on anything with cracks that I feel like the sponge won’t reach well, I add salt or sugar as a “scrub”! Never had an issue ❤️
Note that I prepare raw food (including chicken) for one of my dogs.
Because the city would have to pay for the loss of income from those meters. CPM did a stupidly good job tying up their benefits nicely; if income drops for any reason, Chicago has to pay to make up for it.
From the Canine Competition universe… confirming fortune spent on doggos. I definitely did not spend 4 figures on entries fees for 3 dogs in a multitude of sports in one weekend… ~
Thank you! ❤️ I don’t have the means to host my own instance, but once I do a bit more research and understand Lemmy better, I will definitely be making some pet related communities ❤️
Dude, I wish. That’s why I’m asking here - because he was -wild- and I know that isn’t what being anti-car is about… at least, I’d hope not anyhow.
If it makes it better, his name is Ben and we went to college together lol!
Trains don’t allow dogs as passengers :(
Probably. But then, my only experience with it is one dude who felt that if it required a car, you shouldn’t do it at all, and everyone should move to a city like NYC or Seattle to use public transportation like buses.
You are not but your situation is what I’d like to migrate to, I think. Hotels have gotten even worse… many that I would use before are now charging $20 to $30 per night per dog with a 2 dog cap. Not feasible for me anymore 😞 😓
His solution was to stop going if I had to use a car.
This show is the shortest distance I drive… I’ve done 2000 miles in one day and that’s not unusual. I’m thankful this one is only a few hundred. 💯
I would like to trains be more reasonable - even if not every 2 minutes. I’d be okay with 30 minutes, if I could get on one with the dogs in tow 😞 It is not pleasant driving 5-12 hours and a train would let me rest.
We have to have a set at the Airbnb and a set at the show; it’s much easier to transport extra crates than it is to break them down and haul them back and forth every morning and evening (and takes a distinct amount of time to do). Why 10 and not 8 then? I’m loaning a pair to a friend coming to the same show!
Bummer! I was afraid that might be the answer. I was struggling to come up with anything on my own because none of the public transport allow dogs 😞
While this is neat looking, I don’t think they are intended to do 300 miles in a day on highways… could be a cool solution for local though!
That’s fair, and something I can understand the switch to! A couple of my friends do rent larger vehicles for the longer shows. ❤️
I would love to see shows occur more locally 😞 I usually drive 4 or 5 hours minimum.
Definitely doing something wrong my dude. My cartridges last several reams of paper.
Perhaps I could have included a list of other places as an example that can refuse you for financial reasons. It would have helped for people not familiar with the system…
