Covid caused them to skyrocket in price. But, there’s a big modding community now and you can do things like add usb c charging and a nicer screen.
Or, check out an SBCGaming community (here or elsewhere). Maybe get a Miyoo mini or an RG35XX. They can play up to and including PS1 games and are very portable and cheap.

This is true and it’s sad. GameStop has already changed significantly from 10 or 15 years ago, but I still like having the option to go in and pick up a game (or some Pokémon cards for the kids).

Same here. I feel bad for my family who was using my account (and has less disposable income) but they have access to our Plex now so win/win.
