Drooligan likes to keeps his mouth full of whatever liquid he can get his hands on, even if he has to rough some others up for it. This little goblin is often seen chugging a bottle only for the drink to immediately spill out of his already full mouth.
All the fire and smoke in Camrose is really reminding me of the rain from Twig.
I guess it makes thematic sense for the criminal gang based in a city of fire and smoke to call themselves the Kitchen.
Here’s hoping things work out well for Gio next chapter.
Solid first chapter. Lots of interest points. I’m excited to see how clever 'Bow will get with these characters.
P.S. I think I spotted a typo
Was she was conveying the wrong signals in moments like these?
Blooper’s power can set up a device resembling an old timey film camera. The power may distort time for whoever the camera is pointed towards, thus allowing allies a few extra seconds to do stuff such as aim at their target or dodge an attack. However each extra second burns through the camera’s film reel and requires a long time to recharge.
Let’s go! New story in less than a week. I’m especially curious to see how the vacation affected Bow’s writing.
Worm did have Bonesaw, which is kinda close to a necromancer. She used tinker tech to resurrect Hatchet Face into a mindless powered minion.
D’aww, what a cute happy moom.
Thank you for taking the time to draw this, Rem.
Sac Lobbers are a species of lab grown mutant spiders. They’re bred and fed a chemically laced diet to fortify web and egg production. The Academy has them spewing compact egg sacs intended for launching with catapults. Heavy impacts act as the trigger for the eggs to hatch, thereby releasing swarms of mature yet sterile spiders behind enemy lines.
Jangle, the ringing metal Constituent, takes the appearance of an shaky elderly man with hands over their ears and a chained bell by his feet. By striking the bell, Jangle can cause metal surfaces to ring with sound. This ringing is awful enough to leave people who hear it disoriented and nauseous. Listening for long enough can leave victims with a permanent ringing in their ears.
Plain Jane had initially planned to be a Rogue, using her power to handle making money while she lived a quiet life. However her curiosity for interesting people had her eventually join a team of capes, and all the drama that come with it. Her main role on the team is to back up the other members.
Plain Jane’s power can flip off her consciousness to manifest 3-5 clones from her mind. Each clone is made of ‘heavy air’ and wears an outfit themed after different neutral colors (white, gray, black, brown, beige). The clones mostly think and act like Plain Jane, with the exception that they dissipate after one bad hit. While these clones are active, Plain Jane is locked into an unconscious state.
At the Harrison estate, pumps carry water up and along the outer walls. This water is sprayed from the walls to emulate a constant stream of rain. The vegetation is cut and spliced to better survive this environment. There is no other purpose to this other than the owner likes the aesthetic.
Theme was Rain, Cut, and Wall.
Finally finished my attempt at drawing a Slither.
Slithers may not seem like much, just a bunch of scaly rats one might think. With it’s adorably small size, skittish nature, and fondness for damp & cramped spaces, it’s easy to underestimate these little critters. What many folks overlook are the sacs of poison they lace into their crawl spaces.
Once Slithers find their way into the pipes, it’s safe to assume any water or steam that passes through will be contaminated. Those that ingest the poison will find themselves in stupor as they lose muscular function and begin bleeding from their orifices.
The Academy takes great care in deciding when to release the Slithers in an area.
…a bit better, I think. Feels like an actual experiment this time. Theme was Catch, Pipe, and Bleed.
Tried my hand at drawing an MSPaint…
After an unfortunate accident took her life, an amateur doctor was able to reanimate Penny with only a portion of her original mind. The stitched up Penny was given employment at a local tea shop. Everyday Penny was ordered to tend the shop. She washed the dishes, prepared the tea and desserts, gathered ingredients from the garden, and advertised the shop while out on errands.
…it’s not much, but it’s the best i could come up with given the themes Basket, Tea, and Ads.
Thank you for another amazing story 'Bow. I’m so happy to hear how much you enjoyed writing Pale. The Otherverse has kept my mind occupied with so many interesting characters and questions these past years. I’m excited to see what you have in store for future stories.
The Inspector is an Academy-created spy infused with reptilian modifications. She is specially trained to seek out and destroy libel, slanderers, and propagandists. Often plays up her ‘old crone’ appearance to mask her partially coldblooded nature. She prepares opportune moments to blindside potential suspects.
