Dropped needle (newer version of musicseerr) plugged into lidarr and slsk. Using musicbrainz. A few good indexers/sources on the back end set to flac and high quality versions for the profile. Relatively fast and good coverage overall. Slsk helps to fill in the gaps
My prior employer hired me as remote then had me start coming in 3x a week and the drive was ~1.5 h without traffic and 3+ with traffic. It was too much of a strain on my well-being and family life so I left. I now work fully remote and make 30% more.
I was director level and they were putting me through hell. I found a job working with friends and it’s been stellar since leaving that shitty job. I also felt like their approach to stuff was backwards and archaic… The exec team would review PowerPoint printouts with a red pen then ask for updates… Everything printed… Insane (among other things)

Thank God the prices of dacs and other audio gear hasn’t gone crazy… Yes they’re already expensive a lot of the time, but I couldn’t bear to pay a 200% premium when upgrading audio gear
Cardiovascularly I’m confident I’ll be fine. It’s 40 mpw plus about 3h on the bike per week. My primary concern is when my legs will start hurting due to time on feet and the course itself is moderately technical. My best guess is that I’ll feel good until about mile 70 then it will be an exercise in survival.
I’ve done about 17 ultras (16 of those are 100k races and one 100 miler previously, but that race was about 6 years ago so I had “youth” on my side).
I’m less concerned about finishing - aiming to finish in around 25h, but we will see. I’ll honestly be happy with a finish.
Currently doing about 40 now supplemented by cross training (biking). Preparing for a 100mi ultra at the end of this month. At this point I’ll be tapering and letting up on long runs and overall intensity. Looking forward to a few weeks off - been locked into this training block for the last ~6 months or so.
Did my last real long run this past Saturday - 26 mi in a little under 4h and didn’t have much residual soreness. Just gotta do that about 4 times back to back in a few weeks.

Needs a banana for scale
Would pushing a request through steam to participate in the survey realistically increase cost?

It’s effectively a webcomic

There’s more to it like some contributors or collaborators have books. There’s some tie in to plan9 (os). I’m not doing it justice but it’s like a niche community that does niche stuff with tech and then makes comics and stuff or static websites that are artsy and absurdist.
There’s also this post that links out to some related content - https://vger.to/lemmy.sdf.org/post/58838420
Don’t let your dreams be dreams. Blocking now!

Yes, exactly that.
At the end of the day I think we all acknowledge that single payer is the optimal setup, but that’s not to say that there aren’t incentives on the provider side to maximize their payout.
While insurers have denials as their lever, providers have full coding and revenue cycle teams to ensure that they’re charging as much as possible. Both sides of the equation need to be addressed to bring costs down.

I know it’s funny to say this but it’s not actually what the article says or calls out. They’re saying that hospitals are using AI to say the patients are more complex and deserve to be compensated more due to that complexity, but the gap that insurers are calling out is that there’s not actually treatments happening that are aligned with the increased medical complexity being documented.

Are you doing pcvr with a Linux machine? I’m interested to know what kernel you’re on, if so. I ordered one and am on 7.1 but am seeing reports that the dongle doesn’t work appropriately unless you’re on 7.2 - I’m also concerned that newer Nvidia drivers aren’t stable for Deadlock (steam game) so am apprehensive to unpin those drivers for update at this point.
Outside of that, has the experience been relatively plug and play or did you find yourself adjusting a ton of settings before you were up and gaming?
How dare you claim that 1997 was 30 years ago… oh shit…

I do want to play wardogs 😭

Hot, sweaty genocide.
