I played the original NWN for 13 years, mostly community run online servers, and loved it so much. It does make me sad that companies don’t make games like that anymore, but from that perspective it does make sense why they wouldn’t.
Too bad you couldn’t do something open source like that since it requires the D&D licensing.
Love that everyone made sure to coordinate outfits too.
I really love Vermillion’s performance as a Straight Man for this series. Constantly having to be the only competent demon in the room must get exhausting.
I have so much nostalgia for this show, enjoying the remake quite a bit so far! Seems like they’ve done a good job keeping the charm while upping the animation quality. Plus it’s a great excuse to show one of my favorite older series to my partner who never watched the original.
I barely trust the average consumer to be able to drive, I can’t imagine people being able to fly whenever. Also- who actually needs this and why?
I find these types of studies very important, because things don’t have to be this way. People are people regardless of class, race, gender, etc. Inequalities between these different groups are entirely social and constructed, and a natural result of our in-group out-group thinking and time causing resources to congregate one way or another.
It makes sense that things are this way right now, but as we learn more and build our systems things don’t need to and shouldn’t stay this way. The issue is that for the people who currently control resources and wield power this feels like ‘coming for them’ or taking what they’ve earned, but they don’t actually have any right to these resources any more than the rest of us do- They’re just people. We are a huge, complex system that should be maintained for the benefit of all, not the benefit of the few.
This seasons ‘Skip and Loafer’ on Crunchyroll is excellent! It’s not purely romance but that is a big part of it. It’s high school aged characters but not written for a high school audience, the nuanced writing and excellent handling of various issues make it stand out as much more mature than many of it’s counterparts.
Also from this season, Insomniacs After School on HiDive is very touching relationship growth between two realistic and likeable characters, though the animation and writing quality aren’t quite as good as Skip and Loafer.
Could try Spy x Family. Still action, but less explicit in its depictions of violence (though there is still violence), and overall wholesome story / message.
