The fact we live in a reality where we probably weren’t going to revert our greenhouse emissions, outside of some few but very notable exceptions, knew this was a problem though and spoke to our need to do something, and still came across a completely new and absolutely useless technology that will actually exponentially exacerbate the problem is such a profoundly cruel joke for this poor beleaguered planet.
What does this one even mean lmao
Punitive, protestant work ethic bullshit. I’m sure they try to make you feel like they’re being so helpful and generous too.
I’m sorry
What the fuck? That sounds like it’s basically house arrest, what are you supposed to do?
Christ.
“You know the crisis that just happened that’s totally over now? That was bad right? We’re gonna make the next one less bad! If it’s during this administration. Probably. Again, do not bring up the current previous, completely over crisis that has caused inflation and seen corporate price gouging. We’re concerned about the future here”
As someone near poverty wages, it’s wild there’s no promise of making things better for people like me, who could actually would benefit greatly from some breaks. The promise to ban price gouging on groceries likely isn’t going to do anything about prices that have now been set, further I’ll believe it when I see it. It’s all just promises for the already well-off. Not even a bone for the poors. Great country.
I do love Trump’s direct but equally vague “seal the border” and “end inflation.”
It’s a really cool election we have here
I will add something I haven’t seen here that may help.
First off, you’re in the right.
It’s possible that the wording and tone you used were different than this person usually deals with. Eastern Europeans in my experience are much more direct, in a way that can come off as aggressive- to Americans. Many if not most Americans are not used to this, they’re much more passive-aggressive, are used to changing up their word choice and tone with different audiences and subject matters, often trying to avoid confrontation. So saying your thoughts clearly to them may have actually seemed like you were attacking their beliefs. Challenging someone’s thought processes, especially around politics, is something Americans often don’t deal with outside of confrontation. You’re not supposed to think about that, you feel right or wrong. Interrogating what you believe to attempt to come up with a better political view is never spoken of here in the mainstream, that’s a very foreign concept I usually only see in leftists, go figure. Of course there are still many Americans that aren’t like this, but I thought I’d offer this up as a possibility.
Oh uhh ok
“I have no where else to go except my home in Denver and the rest of this country probably and maybe Europe too. And maybe also elsewhere”
No doubt antisemitism is a problem in the US though you’re probably still more at risk of violence as a high school student. And further, would you rather live in a place where you’re at risk of being blown up and need to blow up other people to stay there, or the US where that’s not so much a fact of life? (though admittedly on land that was itself taken through genocide)
I hated it too.
I’m getting some weird memory that could be completely wrong but I believe my sister was showing me these and excitedly said “this is banned in Cuba!” I was always disgusted by it despite liking “edgy” humor like idk aqua team or whatever and if Cuba banned it, good, though I’m struggling to imagine why that would happen beyond there being poor internet access or just blocking American IPs
Thanks for the response. And christ.
I am worried that this is the scenario for my mom who’s been in the hospital since January and even though she can’t walk is going to be forced out at the end of next month because insurance is running out. Good country.
brains don’t
They should make a brain that heals
Yes, ,
We need you around, comrades!
I was a bike courier for a bit and very few wore them, though I always did. People got concussions and didn’t care, but they may later on. I ate it a couple times but just got some scars on my legs and bruises on my arms but my head is mostly fine but I blame that on my birth and the crowd-surfing incident of 2011
Do the EMTs themselves log this? Would they even be the ones to get paid?
This was my favorite game as a kid! Wish they made more
In Philly I noticed some bars still allow smoking, not most though. I kind of liked it, it’s extremely obvious if the bar still had it around, and since most don’t allow it to could easily avoid them.
People just lighting up a smoke on the subway was wild though
Not to over play how shit this is but since kids use this too, I feel like sports are a great way to learn to keep track of things in your head, which must be good for your brain in addition to the physical activity. We’ve been doing this with hoops since we got em what does this even add? I think it just takes away another social and personal aspect of possible growth for something that will 1 for sure break and 2 still certainly suck at doing what is supposed to do anyway
There’s a communist in every stomach. Ironically, not feeding it makes it stronger
