Likewise here – set up a username with this same username, checking the user page shows it created on the same day I set it up, and just get stuck with a spinning icon when trying to log in. Frustrating. Worse, I got that spinner so bad when trying to sign up that I don’t know if it actually created the account with the first time I clicked to register (and never went through), or the first time it actually went through, much later in the day. I was using a password manager and I have no clue what that first attempt might have had.
Even worse, I decided not to try it with an e-mail in the form, as that wasn’t necessary and the one I’d tried to submit with an email address also gave me the spinning icon, so I have no way to re-set the password if it’s the first option.
