I… What? Why would you do this? What madness lives in your heart to design such a thing?
Oh God this drives me mental all the time
Traveling overseas is what really converted me to this mindset. I went to Japan back in 2017,granted they have a lot of cars still, but the level of public transit, large side walks, walkable friends neighborhoods (granted yes, in cities). Really kind of opened my eyes.
I think my family and friends think I’m insane because I talk about public infrastructure and how horrible car centric we are here, but they’ve only ever been here, mostly in suburbia
Yeah, that’s kind of the vibe I got. I’ve watched a few videos of people playing, but my friend group either isn’t interested in the game or they just don’t game so… Maybe I can convince them
Ah Ok. Maybe I can con some friends to download it and suffer with me
It was years ago, so my memory may be a bit foggy on it lol. I looked up the names someone else suggested and it was Xia: Legends of a Drift System. I remember it was a lot of fun, even if I was totally out of my depth the first time playing it
That takes me back lol. I’ve always been eyeing Sea of Thieves, but as a forever solo player, is it something you can play by yourself or do you really need some mates?
This is like a nightmare haha
Man I feel this all the time. I can’t count the number of times I’m talking to my boss about something and I think “oh yeah, should be easy” and something will trip me up for a day
As silly as it may be, city builders or transport managers. I find it very relaxing and easy to just lose a day a in. I usually play with sandbox modes because I just like to design. It’s kind of like digital model building I guess
Maybe it’s Xia or Merchant of Venus, those are activating something in my brain…
Yeah, I’ll have to go and check some of those out, thanks for the suggestion!
There is a board game I played years ago at a comic shop, and I can never remember the name of it. I only played it once but it was super fun. Kind of like if Freelancer were a board game. You had a huge game board with a bunch of planets and you picked up missions. I dont remember what the win conditions were, but I remember I had a lot of fun with it.
I’m just honestly shocked that people use LinkedIn as an actual SNS. The only times I ever log in or update my page is when im on the hunt for a new job lol
I don’t have anything crazy setup. I’m always trying to think of some additional stuff I can setup, but only if it’s really going to be useful to me.
I have an Unraid box with some containers and a few VMs
