There are multiple individuals maintaining full copies right now, while the network is at double digit millions of users. The relay is by far less expensive.
Great, but how much do these people pay to maintain a relay of the entire network? I bet a lot more than for a fediverse server that only has to maintain a small fraction of the whole network.
There is another problem: these other relays are all copies of the Bluesky relay, where the official app publishes the messages of its users, so they are not independent from each other; if I publish my posts on a relay other than Bluesky’s I will not be able to communicate with them.

The appview it’s not the problem, that’s just an user of the relay.

If you can, get a Pixel and install Graphene on it. If not, degoogle your device as best as you can, use a vpn, a password manager and a private email provider.
I’m sorry but I won’t give Google more money, I think they have enough billions of dollars already.
I prefer to support business projects and developers who are for open source and the independence from the Big Tech
My goal is to code basic buttons and understand how operating systems implement the way they draw windows for applications.
So do you want to program a GUI yourself, and not using a library, correct ?
For that you need a ROM that supports signature spoofing, but it should be possible, just not for the common user, sadly
I understand, but if the application opens the browser you have to make it believe that it is opening Chrome
Have you tried changing the user agent ? You need an extension for that
I use blockchain.com

Low natality plays a more important factor, it’s hard for people to die young, if there aren’t many young people anymore.
