not OP, but I have to run fronted and backend of a project in docker simultaneously (multiple postgres and redis dbs, queues, search index, etc., plus two webservers), plus a few browser tabs and two VSCode instances open, regularly pushes my machine over 15gb ram usage
pretty much like this

or, you know, lemmy? it’s not that much different from forum software, is browsable and federated
I’ve had to swap Firefox on my laptop for the deb package, the snap took like 5sec to open, whereas the deb opens instantly. Other than that, i don’t see much of a difference, but i run into sandboxing issues quite often (same with flatpak though)
Unterstützung haben diese Geräte, aber updates kriegst du trotzdem keine mehr, die bleiben auf älteren Android Versionen
Can’t wait to be able to “hack” asshole people randomly, a permanent rick roll is only the tip of the iceberg
Did you ever take any of that shit?
It doesn’t make sense to take a pill that neuters you, and then go and take another pill to counter the effect. It’s like if you’re obese and have high blood pressure, and instead of exercising you take pills against it - you’re only fighting symptoms, not the root cause
But it’s quite thick for a phone, isn’t it? How do you pocket a 5cm/2 inch thick phone? It’s more bulky than any regular phone
Just changed the battery of my 4A, it’s a hassle but it’s worth it
I’ve refurbished my 4A completely for those exact reasons, and with grapheneos i’m getting security updates too (at least for a while)
I’d go for one with Android 14 support, so you get updates for a while longer with calyx/grapheneos. 5A or younger would be desirable
I just switched to a degoogled phone and Aurora recently, and it worked fine installing 30+ apps. When you get an error, try logging out of Aurora and start a new session, maybe the current Aurora proxy your phone is using is down
I was thinking about phones, having a “flip phone” without a crease which is “normal size” when opened would be cool. For tablet use the gap admittedly sucks
I wouldn’t mind foldable phones having two separate screens with a minor gap between them - you’d avoid getting an ugly growing crease over time like with the current screens, and with a proper hinge design you could make them thinner too probably
What you are looking for is called Whiskey :) There’s also a paid app that does it for macbooks with pre-Apple silicon
that’s what you get for having 2/3 right wing parties in the EU parliament
