Brisbane is my love and my life. Great place to raise the kids. Pity about the people tho.

Sydney has many more Asians than Brisbane if that’s what you’re asking? I don’t think many are refugees though, most seem to be international students here to study. That’s why you see a lot of younger people but far fewer older people.

As far as people moving here permanently, if you follow what China has done in Hong Kong, it’s awful. Those people are welcome here as far as I’m concerned. Most of them would return home in an instant if the Chinese government left and things went back the way they were, so you can’t blame them for escaping a bad situation.

There are plenty worse cultures that could be filling up our streets. At least most Asian cultures are generally courteous and encourage you to get a job, work hard, and ultimately pay taxes that benefit us all. They also don’t try to change our laws or force us to accept their religious ideas either as some other cultures do. It could be much worse than having Asians here believe me.

It’s the ones who don’t work and just leech off society that bother me, and most of the ones who do that were born here. (Like the guy that carjacked the taxi the other day, we certainly don’t need people like that in our society.)_

Asians break lots of laws with violence, tax and welfare cheating, and substances.

There are plent of better cultures that could be filling our streets BUT THEY ARE REFUGEES

    WE HELP THEM

The way you refuse to believe they are refugees who want to flee their chithold countryes and come to Brisbane I mean come on

They are refugees although invaders in the minds of many Brisbane people

    Sad

  • @rowinofwin

I don’t understand, what are you trying to ask? Could you try rephrasing your question?

You understand. We have huge encampments of refugee from Hong Kong and now India
Entirely taken over areas of Brisbane with enrichment we all deserve from these refugees
As they bring their amazing cultures to Brisbane

Brisbane or Sydney has more Indo-Hong Kong refugees?

  • Strongly agree, using housing as an investment vehicle is wrong. Using housing a “control” is sociopathic.

But that’s what Brsibane is all about

RENT MONEY IS DED MONEY gotta get that huge house and live the dream

How else would we be able to make people stay here well actually they don’t want to which is why Brisbane now is the world;s biggest indo hong kong refugee camp such a terrible monkier but its true

So how else are we going to make the new ones coming out of school think Brisbane is worthwhile? They can get wealthy through houses kind of thinking is the way forward.

  • That post feels really gross. Why the fuck would you frame it as though the goal should be to get more people “on the treadmill” and “pay their dues”.

Becuase when you have to pay 800 k for a house, it is a treadmill life of WORK. WORK is hard and treadmill work is a good way to keep them all controlled. It’s designed like this. Paying their dues is doing what they’re parents did. They’re parents paid 80K for a house now work 800K. Let them think the prices double every 7 years and that they can do their dues and do the same as their parents?

Our goal should be to fix the problems in our society. Make it so that housing is seen as a necessity and a right, not an investment first and foremost.

Yes, but it’s Brisbane. If you don’t have 4 mortgage and think property doubles every 7 years, it’s weird at barbecues. People think that housing is their ATM, not a right. I agree with you.

  • Hi @TRK I have no idea what this means:

It means that now people moaning about Brisbane traffic and developments. Show them video of Brisbane in 1950 or 1980 and its all WOOWEEE so white so racist and so clean and empty! The comments flow ing. “brisbane better before Expo!” is comments flow in. But then, think. Think that we can make it seem that now is good. How? By 2032 the Brisbane construction Zone BCZ will be world champion. Brisbane will become giant grid locks and also charge more, because Olympic city can charge more DONT’ QUESTION THE BRISBANE LOGIC! THIS IS BRISBANE YOUR TALK ABOUT HERE MATE! is the way to stifle debate. WE ARE A REAL CITY AND WE DONT PUT UP WITH TEH GUFS!" So no one can question anything we do. Around 2025 people start to think that maybe life now is good and wont go back to the norm. 2035 People will be NOSTALGIA all about the Brisbane of today. So big shift. Now they think Expo was the good old days. But in 10 year they will think today’s conditions is the normal.
