Or needs two things: filter lists (that’s mostly client side) to separate the toot stream (check up on often) vs however the subreddits on lemmy are called (check once in a while in bulk). And then you need a list of posts only from the former with an option to drill in.
I know, those are still different paradigms. It’s just weird that I can authenticate to so many things online as my google id and yet I must have different identities for the “federated” crowd.
