I did the same on an old macbook. I basically use it as a chromebook now which is fine. It’s old enough that it couldn’t be a workhorse anyway. Even OSX was chugging but Mint runs great (now that it’s all set up).
TurboTax. I used freetaxusa this year and I’m never going back.
My personal computer is Windows mainly because of gaming and game dev, but WSL means I don’t have to dual boot to tinker on a web project or something. In a way, it killed the Linux desktop for me, but I still use Linux as much as ever. With Docker as well.
Not necessarily. You can subscribe to a specific community on another instance by searching from your “home” instance with !<communityname>@<server>
and subscribing from there.
