That’s fair, I was just ignoring the candidates and instead looking at it as Red/Blue/Neutral thinking the method of the poll was getting a different subset of the membership and not thinking that the actual candidates were effecting anything.
I’m not saying that being an active union member makes you totally leftist, but it’s clear from these polls that the mood of the halls is different from the mood of the general membership in some measurable way.
Like where I’m at, the Teamsters and IBEW share their halls with DSA, PSL, and SRA. The average member of those unions is pretty centrist, but the leadership and active membership is very leftist.
Interesting that the strawpolls at the meetings hours one way while the phone survey goes another. Seems like there’s a correlation between how active the members are and their likelihood to vote Republican
This is not my beautiful gun! This is not my beautiful knoll!
You may find yourself asking, How did I get here?
These and Life Is Good
The issue is that without a principled party and constant education and agitation those contractions historically have dumped power into fascism.
The heightened contradictions only prepare people for revolution.
Not even peers, the satellites are basically casting a giant shadow on anyone who sets up a detector. Even impoverished 3rd world countries can set up HAM radio operations with some moderately powerful computers to detect them.
Why pay them when everyone uploads stuff in an open file format and you can just steal it?
Well the workers make the profits, the execs steal them
If that’s the case the US is totally doomed. Anyone with Hall a brain should have been able to tell that China is the global heart of scientific development and they have more than enough people smart enough to figure this out fast.
Honestly they’ve probably had this tech since like a month after Elon announced Starlink and are only now revealing it.
Turning off the signal in an area is also bad because it immediately tells whoever is there that you’re obviously planning to fly stealth aircraft there.
This is insane, passive detection is a death sentence for stealth aircraft because they can’t get prior warning they’ve been detected and can’t tell where they were detected from.
If this is viable Musk may have just single handedly prevented the US from having air superiority. Will be wild to see this start being used by smaller countries since it seems like the startup costs aren’t that great thanks to Musk already doing the expense part.
English translation for anyone interested:
I think my boss is a communist. A few days ago, I received my first paycheck at my new job at a fast food restaurant. It wasn’t too bad, but after doing the math, I saw that I sold a lot more food per hour compared to what I was paid, even counting the costs of the food.
When I talked to my boss, he told me that we are part of a team, but some are paid more than others. This reminded me a lot of the famous line “some are more equal than others” from my favorite book, Animal Farm, by George Orwell. This got me thinking about what was going on. We earn the money, and he takes it and gives it to someone else who doesn’t even work. I’m not an expert economist, but this is exactly socialism.
I think I’ve come to the conclusion that the best way to combat these socialist business practices would be to get together with my coworkers, unify our power, and show that we understand the real value of our labor. Has anyone else had experiences with clearly Marxist bosses before, or any ideas what to do?
10/10 bit
How can you be correct but also completely wrong at the same time?
Increase in productivity under a profit system means more work for fewer people, or under a slavery system more work for more people because labor cost isn’t a factor.
That was their closer at this show
My mother is politically transphobic, but she like best friends with all my LGBT friends and it’s weird. Like when she actually has to interface with people she is lovely and accepting, but the second Tucker Carlson says something she just accepts it without contrasting it with her lived experience.
Would honestly be an even funnier but if that was the case
The scams are insane, there are so many and they’re all good at convincing elderly people who are used to cold calls and call center talk.
Several people in my family have been hit and none of them are even that senile. They just got played for months before they actually executed the scam.
Worst one is they buy up helplines that are printed on old tech so when you call the “official” HP helpline on your decade old printer you get scammers pretending to be HP
